All is set for the Airtel Regional secondary Ball Games that is set to begin in the lakeside city of losing from the 13th to the 16th of July 2016
Defending lake region champions Kisumu Day High school are placed in a difficult Pool A that comprise surprise package Kanga School of Migori. The other school in the pool are Siaya County runners Barding and Nyamira County representatives Kiandege Secondary school
Pool B has another kisumu county representative Magadi Secondary school, Siaya County champions Usenge High school, Homabay’s Omboga and little known Obongita from Kisii County

In the girls category, lake region giants Jera are in pool A together with Nyakach from Kisumu County, Omobera from Kisii county and defending champions Kobala from Homabay county

The organizers had to give Siaya county a second chance as Kisumu had two chances of being hosts and defending champions, so the losing finalist which were from Siaya gifted the county a second chance.

The ultimate winner will represent the region in the National ball games slated for Kisumu later in the month
Meanwhile Kanga Coach Francis Nyakech has warned defending champions Kisumu Day that it will not be business as usuall when they confront them in the group phase saying this time we won’t bow for a third time.
‘they beat us in 2014 in the final 3-1 at Taranganya and drew with them the same year in the group phase, we will fight harder this time and our good preparations are evident’
Kanga sailed to the regionals after dispatching St Michael’s Nyandema 2-1 while Kisumu Day had to overcome Magadi in the penalty shootouts
