Rainford “Master” Kalaba, The prince of Kamalondo or simply the Maestro was the most lethal TP Mazembe player in 2016.
The Chipolopolo captain scored 14 goals with 7 of those coming in the CAF Confederations cup in the process winning him the golden boot.
Kalaba was involved in 19 out of the 101 goals scored by TP Mazembe as he made 5 assists as well. The prince of Kamalondo had a fantastic 2016 earning him a CAF player of the year based in Africa nomination.
CAF will hold its wards gala on Thursday 5th January in Abuja,Nigeria and if he wins the prestigious award it would be well derseved.
Given Singuluma who had a long term injury found the back of the net 10 times and would have added more if not for the injury that kept him out for close to 5 months.
Jonas Sakuwaha scored two goals while Kabaso Chongo and Nathan sinkala found the back of the net only once.
