Kenyan premier league side Thika United has appointed former Kenyan international and AFC leopards assistant coach Nicholas Muyoti has head coach taking over from former Harambee Stars tactician James Nandwa who has been elevated to the clubs technical director.
The move has been necessitated by the massive restructuring efforts by the club aimed at fully complying to the CAF licencing requirements.
“Thika United FC management has taken another restructuring move in accordance with the CAF Club licencing requirements by promoting immediate former Head Coach James Nandwa to the position of Technical Director in the club” a statement from the club read.
As per the new changes, Muyoti will be deputised by Joseph Ruto who will also double up as the goalkeeper trainer.
“Following the new developments, Nicholas Muyoti who was the Assistant coach takes over as the Head tactician to be deputized by Joseph Ruto who will double up as the Keeper trainer”.
Thika United will face Nakumatt FC on Wednesday 10th May in a midweek fixture set to be played at Ruaraka.
