Kenya captain Victor Wanyama, has over his footballing career exhibited exemplary traits of a true leader on and off the pitch.
The former Tottenham man who now plays for Montreal Impact in the Major League Soccer (MLS) recently showed that he has a true courage of a Lion and a heart of gold.
Through the Victor Wanyama foundation, He has partnered with the Kenya Red Cross to offer assistance to the people of Mathare slums in the capital city Nairobi in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Many thanks to @gina_din, @africayoga and @KenyaRedCross who today have partnered with Victor Wanyama foundation to donate hygiene packages to the Billian Family Centre in Mathare. Together we will fight coronavirus!,” Wanyama said in a tweet.
“During this fight against the coronavirus, It is important we all as Kenyans to do our part to help stop its spread.
“Make sure you follow the guidelines set out by the healthcare officials. Do wash your hands thoroughly and social distance as much as possible.
“If we all play our part, we will beat this.
“Victor Wanyama Foundation and the Kenyan Redcross will do all we can to help.”
