After taunting Executive Committee………
Suleiman has finally been served a dismissal letter according to an exco member who spoke on condition of anonymity. According to the source the reason is the step to admonish the exco in the media openly without thinking of the consequences.
One ardent Mufulira Wanderers fan feels its not good for the team and he thinks the coach was not sorely to blame for the action taken.
“Yes the coach could have been wrong to go to the media but the question is was he given any code of conduct?” Said the source.
“And since chances are that there is no code of conduct to refer to by the exco, is the dismissal the answer? These are are just hiding competence through the dismissal of the coach,” the supporter added.
He has also wondered if the exco has thought of the repercussions that comes with firing a coach who is on a 3 year contract for a matter that could have been solved administratively.
“Do these guys even know the consequences of firing the coach with only 4 months served to his 36 months’ contract? Not too long ago Mopani paid off Silva and trust me it never went down so well with them. Will Mopani accept to pay Suleiman? If not where will the Exco get the money if they have even failed to buy decent players?” The supporter queried.
Due to the sacking of Suileiman, Kashimoto will take charge of the away game against ZANACO on Sunday even though rumour has it that John Chellah has travelled with the team for this encounter. Chellah is a former Mufulira Wanderers striker and once worked under Suleiman.
A number of coaches including current City of Lusaka coach Chikwanda are linked with the the now vacant Mighty top job.
Mufulira Wanderers has lost the first two games to Green Buffaloes and City of Lusaka conceding 7 goals and only forcing one.
