Medie Kagere and Chris Mugalu were both on the scoresheet once again as Simba SC thrashed JKT Tanzania 4-0 while displaying top class football in a Vodacom Premier League game played on Sunday afternoon at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma.
The victory saw Simba maintain second position of the league standings with 13 points.
Kagere opened the deadlock with a header just three minutes after the kick-off from Rally Bwalya’s cross.
Mugalu added the second goal three minutes later also a header finishing off Luis Miquissone cross. Kagere was on fire completing his brace and third for Simba with a ferocious left footer thunderbolt in the 40th minute thanks to Clatous Chama layoff.
If Kagere’s goal was good, then Miquissone was even much better as he hammered a left shot from 18 yards after the initial shot by Kagere was blocked by JKT Tanzania defence.
Coach Sven Vandenbroeck later in the match replaced Kagere, Chama and Miquissone with Muzamiru Yassin, Bernard Morrison and Hassan Dilunga respectively.
The match ended 4-0 as Simba look to remain in the race to defend their title
