Hussein Abdelkader scored a late goal as Egypt got off to a winning start beating Mozambique 1-0 in their opening Group B match of the 2017 Mopani Copper Mines U-20 Cosafa Championships played at the Arthur Davis Stadium, in Kitwe today.
The Young Pharaohs who come into the tournament as guests battled it out with the Young Mambas in a fiercely contested Fixture with the match.
Just as the match was headed for a stalemate, Hussein found the back of the net in the 86th Minute to seal all three points for the Young Pharaohs who go top of Group A momentarily.
The other two teams in Group B South Africa and Mauritius play tomorrow at the Nkana Stadium with kickoff slated for 15:00
