The annual Mapunduzi Cup will kick off on Saturday, January 2,2016 at the Amaan Stadium, Zanzibar.
Eight teams including holders Simba SC of Tanzania will battle it out in two groups,with the top two proceeding to the semi finals to be played on January 9th and 10th . Finals will be staged on Wednesday 13 with the winner bagging USD 10,000.
Groups:
A – Simba, Jamhuri, JKU, URA
B – Yanga, Mafunzo, Azam,Mtibwa
Uganda’s URA will take on JKU in the first match at 4PM local time before Simba commence title defense against Jamhuri. More group matches will be played on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, with the last group action on Thursday 8.
