Zambia’s Vice President Inonge Wina visited the training session for the Young Chipolopolo ahead of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Zambia 2017 which kicks off on Sunday 26 February 2017.

According to the Official Facebook page of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), Mrs Wina on Tuesday morning 21 February, 2017 visited the Under 20 players at the Barclays Sports Complex in Lusaka to show her support.

She addressed the players and encouraged them to do their best.

“I have come here to encourage you as you prepare for the 2017 Africa Youth Championship,” said the Vice President.

“You were chosen from among many equally talented young men to represent your country in this tournament. We are very proud of you. The Zambian people are behind you and we are with you.

“Your greatest fan, the President of the Republic of Zambia Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu will be there on Sunday to cheer you so you should be encouraged. And we believe that when you are out there, we believe that by the support you will get from Zambians, you will feel proud to represent your country and you will be determined to show you skill on the pitch,” she said.

Zambia is hosting the Under 20 Africa Cup of Nations fro the first time with eight teams set to battle for the ultimate prize. The title and the four places for the FIFA Under 20 World Cup.

Participating teams are hosts Zambia, Egypt, Mali, Guinea in Group A based in Lusaka, while Senegal, South Africa, Cameroon and Sudan in Group B will be based in Ndola.
