Ethiopian Football federation (EFF) has received a large number of applications for the vacant coaching job left vacant afte the sacking of coach Sewnet Bishaw.
According to EFF over 25 foreign coaches and a local coach Wubetu Abate have applied for the vacant job that has drawn alot of interest from top coaches around the world.
However EFF President Junedin Basha alluded to the fact that they were yet to finalise the process and once the same was done they would announce the suitable candidate to take over the job .
“The response for the Walia job has been massive as we have more than 25 foreign coaches and one local coach who have applied.The process is still ongoing and i belive once its over we are going to pick the right candidate who meets our criteria as the new head coach of the Ethiopian national team”Junedin told Soka25east.
A fortnight ago EFF advertised for the post of head coach given stringent criteria as they sought to get the best candidate that would replace Sewnet Bishaw who was sacked after his he failed to go past the first round in the Chan tournament held in South Africa.
The application period is not over yet. 25 foreign & 1 Local (Wubetu Abate) coaches have applied so far.
