Six players were seriously injured on Tuesday when a Togolese first division side, Foadan FC bus was involved in an accident as the team was en route to its game in Notse.

According to a statement by the Togolese Football Federation, the accident occured at a place called Gando in Mango with the federation indicating that it will be realising more information in few hours to come.

“The accident occurred at the intersection of Gando in Mango and resulted in injuries including six serious cases who are now admitted to intensive care at a local hospital ” reads the statement.

Eyewitness reports indicate that the ‘Costa’ developed problems in break system,causing the bus to travel out of control and continued a short distance before coming to a stop.

Foadan FC are currently in the 12th position on the log and were travelling to Notse to play aganist Angels FC.
