Muhoroni Youth enviable run in the second stanza of the Kenyan Premier League persisted with another electrifying performance against staggering Tusker in a match played on Friday 2, at Nyayo Stadium.
The win stretches their unbeaten run to 13 games as they climb to joint third on points on the KPL log with Sofapaka which has played a match less.
Wycliffe Ochomo put the visitors head in the first half but Tusker equalized early in the second half through winger Noah Wafula before Notikelly Masasi restored their lead again. Defender Eugene Asike scored his second on the trot for the brewers to restore parity minutes to the final score.
Akinyemi Winner
Edmond Murai turned the hero after being fell inside the box by Tusker defender alloyed Wahome from a solo run – skipper Abass Akinyemi stepped to the plate to convert the resultant penalty to secure the three points.
Tusker has now gone six matches in the league without a win, the expensively assembled side continues to disappoint under coach Francis Kimanzi.
