The FKF Gatundu South District league, sponsored by area Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria will kick off on December 27th. The legislator will kit all the 107 teams in the constituency for the league with full uniforms, boots and four balls each.
The coordinator, FKF Thika sub branch deputy secretary Simon Njuguna revealed that the league will start with qualifiers on December 27th until March at ward level.
Top four teams from each of the four wards, namely; Kiganjo, Ng’enda, Kiamwangi and Ndarugu in Gatundu South constituency will qualify to play in the 16-team district league, which kicks off in April to November 2016.
Winning teams in each of the four wards will pocket Kshs 100, 000, second placed will walk away with Kshs 70,000 and Kshs 30, 000 for the third finisher.
The 16 teams will battle for a trophy and KShs 500,000 prize money for winners, Kshs 200,000 to be awarded to runners up and Kshs 100, 000 for the third placed team.
