Derick mwansa who was late last year reported to have joined Zanaco is staying at Nkwazi in a twist of events.Mwansa has spent the last two seasons on loan .He spent last season at Arthur Davies and Chilata the season before.
Nkwazi Football Club Secretary general Adrian Kashala confirmed the development yesterday in an interview with ZNBC news crew.
”Derick Mwansa will stay at Nkwazi although he has been registered as part of the Zanaco team for CAF confederations Cup” Kashala said
”This is because we have lost defender Rodrick Zimba to Red Arrows”.Kashala further added.
Mwansa has spent the last two years away from emboela stadium. He was at Arthur Davies last year and Chilata the year before.
This will come as a big blow to Zanaco.Mwansa has some experience in continental competitions having reached the group stages of the completion with Nkana in 2014.
The question being raised is how did Zanaco rush to register Mwansa before finalizing the deal with Nkwazi?.If they did finalize the deal, what kind of deal was it that Nkwazi can turn back and say they will not release the player in question. So many questions without answers right now.
Zanaco still have a number of great defenders at their disposal.

8.Lee Ngoma,25.George Chilufya are still available for continental engagements.
