2015 Kenyan Premier League player of the year Michael Ogada Olunga has confirmed to Soka25east.com of his intended move to the Swedish top tier league Allsvenskan where he will join Stockholm based side Djurgarden for trials in their pre season.
A delighted Olunga thanked his current club Gor Mahia for allowing him the opportunity as he vowed to work hard and secure a place at the Swedish team

21 year old Olunga has been the target of top teams both in Europe and Africa after his stellar performance both for club and country.He emerged the best player in the 2015 season and was also the golden boot runner up with 18 goals in the league.In July he was the top scorer in the regional Cecafa Kagame Cup where he finished with 5 goals.He has also scored crucial goals for the Kenyan national team Harambee Stars the most notable when he scored the solitary goal when Kenya beat highly fancied Cape Verde in Nairobi.
Djurgardens was Formed in 1891, the club has 11 national championship titles and 4 national cup titles. Djurgården has won their Swedish championships during three eras. The first one occurred during the 1910s when the club won four championships, the second during the 1950s and 1960s with the same amount of championships.
The latest era occurred in the first half of the 00s: they finished second in 2001, won Allsvenskan and the cup –Svenska Cupen – in 2002, Allsvenskan in 2003, and Svenska Cupen in 2004, before winning Allsvenskan for a third time in 2005. They currently play in the top Swedish tier, Allsvenskan.
The club has one other African player Inotenda “Tino” Kadewere who is a Zimbabwean striker on loan from Harare City.
