Zambian Super League champions Zesco United will after all face a more lesser opposition in their first preliminary CAF Champions league after the Confederation of African Football revised its fixtures.
The Ndola based club which was scheduled to meet South Sudanese National league Champions Atlabara will now meet little known Al-Ghazal FC.Atlabara chickened out and swithced to the lesser CAF Confederations cup despite winning the South Sudanese league in style.
Al- Ghazal however will not be push overs as they finished second in the league. The club which is based in Wau City approximately 600 kilometres from the capital Juba will play their first leg in Ndola in the weekend of February 12-14 before concluding with a return leg a week later in Juba.
Al Ghazal featured in last years CAF Confederations Cup losing out in the preliminaries by a huge 7-1 drubbing on aggregate at the hands of Egyptian Petrojet. They lost the away fixture 6-1 and lost at home 0-1
