SCVU head coach Morley Byekwaso has named his 19 man squad that will travel to Tanzania on Sunday for the inaugural Nile Basin Winners’ tournament that kicks off on Thursday, 22nd to the 7th of next month in Sudan.
Keeper Benjamin Ochan who was dropped on the Cranes squad for Madagascar duty has been named to the team together with Jackson Kibirige who has returned from loan at BUL FC.
The Uganda Cup holders will travel minus key players Savio Kabugo and Dennis Guma (Cranes duty), Isaac Muleme and Simon Okwi (injury) together with striker Siraje Muhindo who is busy sitting exams.
The contingent that comprises of 19 players and five officials departs on Sunday at 5:00am aboard Kenya airways.
SCVU plays its first game against Malaika next Thursday before Police and El Merreikh as the final group game.
