Speculations are rife that Coach Michael Nam formerly of Talanta Fc is set to take over Gor Mahia football club, after the exit of Scotsman Frank Nuttal.
However, according the tactician who is back in the country after a successful completion of his UEFA Diploma studies in Ireland, no one from the Gor mahia football club management has contacted him to relay their interests in having him take charge of the team.
“Am shocked to hear that I have been appointed interim coach at Gor Mahia I have just learnt about it through the media”Nam told Soka25east.com
“Gor Mahia has not communicated to me about the issue but I will be waiting to hear from them ” Confirmed Nam
The clubs fans were left confused after a statement sent to media houses stating the departure of the manager.
According to Nam Gor Mahia is a professional club that needs to do things professionally if a coach is to be hired to take over.
“There are procedures to be followed, the club’s management needs to sit me down and talk about the terms of me joining the club” Nam reiterated
“I might be among the people they are considering, but up to now there is nothing tangible to talk about”he added
As the league champions Gor Mahia prepares to take on CAF Cup representatives Bandari Fc in the DSTV Super cup this coming Ssturdy , Coach Nam is in Nairobi taking care of his personal matters.
The coach after completing the UEFA diploma is hoping to commence his UEFA A Studies latter on in the year.
