Mpumalanga Black Aces who are currently Sitting 4th on the PSL Log will today at 15:30 hours (CAT) lock Horns with 11th placed Orlando Pirates.A big Crowd is expected as 35 000 fans watched the corresponding fixture last season.Aces are unbeaten in their last five games against the Buc’s.
Coach Muhsin Ertugal was joined by Shu-Aib Walters, captain Collins Mbesuma and Eddie Ngalo at a press briefing on Friday morning.
Ertugal, who said he ‘felt sorry for Eric Tinkler’ said that it was important to get maximum points from Pirates as well as Sundowns, who host them next Wednesday
at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
“If we get points against Pirates & Sundowns it will make for an interesting league and there will be all to play for. If not,
then a top 3 will be okay,” said Ertugral.
The humble Collins Mbesuma tried to shift the focus from himself and his 11 goals in
the league.
“The formation that Aces play really suites my style of play but all the credit must go to the entire team,” said Mbesuma.
“As for my ex team Pirates, they will be tough especially since they lost to Free State Stars on Thursday and they will surely be
targeting a Top 8 finish this season,” said King David.
Mbesuma who scored the equalizing goal in the 1st rounds 1-1 draw at Orlando Stadium,
fired an ominous warning to the Bucs.”We are very well rested and very prepared,” said Mbesuma.
Sadly it was confirmed that the influential Lebo Manyama is injured and is expected out for 3 weeks. He has 3 broken toes.
