Ethiopian International Walid Atta has expressed his delight at joining newly promoted Swedish side Östersunds FKin a one year deal from Turkish side Genclebirligi SK.
Speaking to Soka25east.com Atta alluded to the fact that he was happy to be back to Sweden where he begun his professional career saying he would give the best to his new club
“It is a great moment for me coming back to Sweden after my stint in Turkey.It was an eye opener playing in Turkey but it was not without its fair share of ups and downs.However my move back to Sweden comes at a good for my career as i want to rediscover my form and be at my very best”Walid told Soka25east.com
Walid Atta’s contract was reportedly terminated just six months after signing after he failed to live up to expectations according Genclebirligi SK as he made only four appearances in his time in Turkey.
Walid Atta who has lived most of his life in Sweden was a sort after with many teams but resolved to join Östersunds FK a team he described as ambitious .
The 2009 Sewedish Allsvenskan League champion Atta expressed his delight upon joining his new club on Instagram. Östersunds FK managed to gain promotion to Allsvenskan last season after finishing runner-ups in Superettan League.
