Malawi’s soccer giants Nyasa Big Bullets is set to take on Dynamos of Zimbabwe in an international friendly double play that will launch Bullets’s 2016 league campaign.
The two friendly matches will be played back to back on Saturday, 7th February and Sunday, 8th February at the Countries ‘Soccer Mecca’ Kamuzu Stadium and Civo Service stadium respectively. Speaking on arrival from Zimbabwe, Dynamos Team Manager Richard Munetsi Chihoro said Bullets should brace for a tough time as his team is not on a tourist trip.
“We are prepared. We have brought a very strong team that will ensure we triumph in these games. We have a team players that is just fantastic, including Duru Ikenna Mercy, a Nigerian who is currently on trials with the team. We have a reputation to keep”.
On his part, Big Bullets Vice General Secretary Kelvin Moyo retaliated that Bullets cannot afford to launch the campaign on a dismal note.
“Being Champions back to back for the past two seasons and clinching a landmark sponsorship, Bullets is not prepared for any setback and Dynamos will have just to accept the coming lesson in football”, he said.
Bullets will expectedly feature its new 8 million kwacha record signing, the defending pair of John Langesi and Emmanuel Zoya, from Civo Service United. Another player that may be thrown in is Muhammad Sulumba, Wanderers hit man last season, who may partner Chiukepo Msowoya upfront.
