Nkana’s quest for a 13th title started on a bright note as they beat Nkwazi 2-1 at Edwin Emboela Stadium.The Record 12 times Champions last won the league in 2013.
The match was delayed for 45 minutes as Nkwazi wanted to field in un-registered players.Nkana fans kept their cool and waited for 45 minutes more for the game to kickoff.
Shadreck Musonda opened the scoreline in the first 5 minutes.Erick Chomba equalised for Nkwazi .The first half ended in a draw.
Walter Bwalya popped up in the second half to win Nkana 3 valuable away points at a not so Favourable venue.
Nkana Fans stormed the stadium to celebrate the win.The jubilant fans escorted the loved bus out of Edwin Emboela Stadium.
