Timu ya taifa ya soka ya Kenya Harambee Stars , imeanza mazoezi katika uwanja wa Kimataifa wa Moi Kasarani jijini Nairobi, kujiandaa dhidi ya Guinea Bissau katika mchuano muhimu wa kuwania nafasi ya kufuzu kucheza katika michuano ya mataifa bingwa barani Afrika mwaka ujao nchini Gabon.
Mazoezi hayo yanaongozwa na kocha mpya wa Stars Stanley Okumbi ambaye alipewa kibarua hicho na rais mpya wa shirikisho la soka nchini humo Nick Mwendwa.
Kenya ina wiki moja kujiandaa kwa mchuano huo utakaochezwa mjini Bissau siku ya Jumatano juma lijalo, kabla ya mchuano wa marudiano tarehe 27 jijini Nairobi katika uwanja wa Nyayo jijini Nairobi.
Kocha Okumbi amesema, ana matumaini makubwa kuwa vijana wake watafanya vizuri katika mchuano huo pamoja na kwamba haifahamu vema Guinea Bissau.
Huu ndio utakuwa mchuano wa kwanza kwa kocha huyu wa nyumbani aliyechukua nafasi ya Bobby Williamson.
Kenya iko katika kundi la E na ni ya tatu kwa alama 1. Congo Brazaville ni ya kwanza kwa alama 4, Zambia ni ya pili pia kwa alama 4 huku Guinea Bissau ikiwa ya mwisho kwa alama 1.
Ligi kuu ya Kenya imesitishwa hadi tarehe 30 mwezi huu ili kuipitisha timu ya taifa kufanya mazoezi.
