Ethiopian striker Salhadin Said requests coach Sahle to exclude him from Algeria Afcon clash

Ethiopian Star striker Salhadin Said who was recently recalled to the Ethiopia Walia Ibex to begin preparations for the crucial 2017 Africa Cup of Nations against Algeria has ruled himself out out of the game Soka25east.com can reveal.

Salhadin who was recalled to the squad after eleven months absence informed coach Yohannes Sahle of his resolutions after intimating to the coach he was yet to regain his form and would not wish to stand in the way of a much fitter player.

“Yes its true Salhadin Said has requested coach Sahle to exclude him from the squad to face Algeria as he feels he is yet to regain his form and would not wish to deny another player who is on form the opportunity to play”A member of the technical bench informed Soka25east.com

Salhadin Said last month resigned for his former club St.George after Algerian club US Alger terminated his contract on mutual consent.

Meanwhile Shemeles Bekele,Getaneh Kebede and defender Walid Atta are expected to join the team as they continue preparations for the do or die game.

Coach Sahle is also contemplating calling up striker Umed UkwiEthry to help bolster the team striking department.
