KENYA XI vs Guinea Bissau – Kariobangi Sharks’ Patillah Omoto handed a starting berth

Youngster Patillah Omoto who plays for National Super League outfit Kariobangi Sharks has been handed maiden starting role for Harambee Stars in today’s AFCON 2017 qualifier versus Guinea Bissau.

Coach Stanley Okumbi has kept faith in his former player at Sharks, ahead of more experienced David Kingatua, Anthony Kimani and Anthony Akumu who all start from the bench.

Gor Mahia assistant Captain Musa Mohammed will partner Zesco United’s David “Calabar” Owino at the heart of defense; with Brian Mandela (Maritzberg United – SA) and James Situma (Tusker) manning the full back positions.

Mid will be guided by skipper Victor Wanyama (Southermpton – England) who arrived this morning. He will be assisted by Royal Antwerp’s Johanna Omollo, Eric Johanna of Mathare United and Clifton Miheso of AFC Leopards.

In attack, Djurgardene’s sensation Michael Olunga will lead the hunt for goals.

The match kicks off at Estadio 24 de Setembro from 7PM Kenyan Time.
