Coach Stanley Okumbi’s experimental side failed spectacularly against Guinea Bissau in an AFCON 2017 qualifier on Wednesday 23 in Bissau.
Camara’s first half goal was enough to hand the home side the much needed victory which condemned Harambee Stars to the bottom of group “E”.
Okumbi started rookies Patilah Omoto and Eric Johanna ahead of experienced players in Anthony Akumu, Jesse Were and Anthony Kimani a move which backfired as the team looked disjointed.
The duo were later substituted, but it was a little too late in the day.
The return leg of the match takes place in Nairobi on Sunday 27.
In another match of the group, Zambia were held at home 1-1 by Congo Brazzaville.
