AFCON 2017 – Kenya vs Guinea Bissau match aborts

Kenya versus Guinea Bissau AFCON 2017 qualifier reverse tie in Nairobi, failed to mature due to crowd trouble.

A section of Kenyan fans became unruly and started pelting the match officials with missiles after the home side conceded a contestable goal in the 83rd minute.

At first the goal appeared to have not crossed the line but video replays showed otherwise.

Policemen had to be called upon to restore order in vain as the situation got from bad to worse leading to match being called.

As expected, CAF will act shift on the matter, and most definitely, Guinea Bissau will be awarded the match, with Kenya attracting heavy penalties including a possible ban.

The West Africans won the first leg of the group “E” in Bissau 1-0 on Tuesday.
