A Sombre mood today engulfed the Tele2 Arena, home of Swedish top tier side Djurgadens as they lost their first league match at home to visiting Hammarby.
In a match that Kenyan international Michael Olunga was benched and did not feature, the home side fell as early as the 12th minute courtesy of Alex before Sam Johnson equalized in the 25th minute.Alex added the second in the 41st minute for a Half time 2-1 scoreline.
On resumption Erik Isrealsson made it out of reach for Djurgadens at the hour mark to condemn the hosts to their first league match.
Despite the loss Djurgadens reaming top of the 16 team league on nine points two ahead of Hammarby after four round of matches.
