Ugandan International Faruk Miya is set to pen a lucrative 3 year deal at Belgian side Standard Liege after impressing in his probationary period Soka25east.com can reveal.
The attacking midfielder and former Vipers player has been on loan since January 2016 after impressive perfomances at both the Uganda Premier League,Cecafa and Chan hosted by Rwanda.
Miya was initially given six months to impress the technical staff at Standard Liege, a feat he has accomplished with flying colours.
After a torrid time to acclimatize to the harsh winter conditions, playing style, food, language and the general set up of life in Belgium, Miya earned his first full start in April 2016 against Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz.
