Kabwe Warriors’ season and campaign in the FAZ MTN Super Division will come under a litmus test once again when in-form Forest Rangers make a visit to Godfrey Ucar Chitalu stadium on Wednesday 18 May 2016.
Kabwe Warriors have failed to win in their last three matches scoring only once and that was in their 1-1 home draw against Zesco United. Warriors fans will be concerned especially with the team’s lack of sharpness in front of goal witnessed in their last match, a goalless draw at Red Arrows.
Fathy continues to come under a lot of pressure from the supporters. The Egyptian will hope to see a change in fortune on Wednesday against Fole Malembe if his Warriors team is to avoid an early battle for survival. Fathy’s tactics will come under microscopic examination against a tough Forest side and will also be facing an experienced coach in Patrick Phiri.
Fathy will be counting on Josphat Kasusu to find his scoring boots to kick start what has been a dismal campaign so far with only two wins out of nine games, four draws and three losses.
It will not be an easy task for Warriors as Forest Rangers seek a third win in Four games. The men from Ndola have been in terrific form most notably in their 1-0 victory against Champions Zesco United in week eight. Ex-Warriors striker Felix Nyaende was on target in that all important win for Patrick Phiri.
Forest Rangers are confident and looking the stronger team on paper. It is no doubt they will cause a lot of problems for Warriors who have been blowing hot and cold both at home and away.
Can Warriors pick themselves up or will Fole Malembe continue their revival?
