14 goals scored in week 10 of all the nine games played across the country in the FAZ MTN SUPER LEAGUE with interesting results that can just give us a different dimension of how this season may just pan out.
If you were thinking it’s a straight forward Season for the teams winning and get relegated!!!! Think twice!!!

The Winners,
Only four teams will look back to week 10 with the joy of the three points with two teams winning away and the other winning at home.
GREEN BUFFALOES
This is a team that is mainly never looked into as the contender for the league title as they last won the title in 1980 but their recent form suggest they can be considered and pushing waiting for anyone to drop points and take advantage.
They were in Mufulira to play Mufulira Wanderers a team that they have beaten several times now and Jack Chirwa with a lone goal means GBFC are only two points from the top team. Now everything is possible for the Soldiers.
NAPSA
They got their second win of the Season beating Nchanga Rangers 1-0 at home and they are out of the relegation zone on ten points. Brian Lubaba getting his first goal of the season and adds some beliefs in NAPSA that its fans were seriously worrying of relegation battles. Consistence will be key.
FOREST RANGERS
Patrick Phiri is becoming a magician in bringing life to teams. After beating Zesco United, Forest Rangers registered only their third win in a week when they beat struggling Mufulira Blackpool and that win takes Forest Rangers to 11th on the log. The lone goal was scored by Ronald Chibwe and that was only the fourth goal of the season for the Forest United side, a second for Ronald.
ZANACO
The best team for me in the season so far and yet to lose a game, went down 1-0 to Lumwana Radiants and turned that around to win 4-1. That’s not what anyone would have scripted when Lumwana went ahead because the North Western team is so strong at home. But then Isaac Chansa, Roderick Kabwe, Fashion Sakala and Saith Sakala were on hand to give the Bankers a 4-1 victory that now makes it six wins in seven games with three games in hand they are above the defending champions and only a point below Nkana.
Watch out for ZANACO!!!!!

Draws
Five draws recorded and this is the highest number of draws we have had this season
Red Arrows 0-0 Kabwe Warriors
Kabwe Warriors will be pleased with a point away at Red Arrows as they were a better side against a blunt Red Arrows on the day. The game did not have any sparks to talk about but at the end of the day the sharing of the points will be seen as a better result for both games.
Nkwazi 1-1 Green Eagles
Nkwazi failed to take home ground advantage as they went down to a Paul Malama goal and it had to take Nkwazi top scorer Steward Chikandiwa with a spot kick. A point not too good for Green Eagles as they remain in the relegation zone while Nkwazi remain sixth but will be weary of a number of teams following behind who have games in hand.
Zesco United 0-0 Lusaka Tigers
I read on one Zesco fan Facebook profile describing the result as frustrating. That is the best way to describe that result if you are a follower of Zesco United but if you are a follower of Lusaka Tigers, it will be a result that can actually turn your season around. Its results that should make teams realize they need to compete at serious level and hence apart from the frustrations at ZESCO, we should be praising LUSAKA TIGERS for getting a point off the most expensive assembled side in the league this season.
A very good result for LUSAKA TIGERS. Zesco United end week ten on third position behind ZANACO who have played two games less than them. It’s now a big mountain to climb.
Lusaka Dynamos 1-1 Nakambala Leopards
Lusaka Dynamos remain in the relegation zone while Nakambala drop to seventh on the log. Lusaka Dynamos had led through Kennedy Musonda but Moses Siyanda equalized. That’s the spirit this season. If you can’t get three points, make sure you get a point. This season is unpredictable and we shall have serious upsets as we get into the second round.
Nkana 1-1 Power Dynamos
What more can I say, a boring derby and nothing to show for it apart from Jacob Ngulube and Kennedy Mudenda spicing it up with the two goals. On the field of play nothing really to be proud of the derby.

Losses
Very bad week 1en for these four teams.
LUMWANA
The biggest losers of week 10 after losing to Nchanga Rangers in Week nine means Lumwana gets into relegation zone for the first time and they couldn’t just contain ZANACO. Lumwana Radiants scored first through Gerald Chisha but the free scoring ZANACO were on hand. Lumwana need to turn around their season if the hope of surviving is to be assured.
MUFULIRA BLACKPOOL
Fifth loss of the season and the only team yet to win a game this season in the Super League. They lost against Forest Rangers and I think these are the games Mufulira Blackpool should be getting even a point because it is becoming very difficult for them to win games. They are definitely the earliest indicator of a team going for relegation.
NCHANGA RANGERS
All of a sudden that hype about Nchanga has gone mute and the team seems to be so quiet with the inconsistence continuing, it’s proving to be disaster for the team. They lost to NAPSA 1-0 after beating Lumwana 1-0 in week nine. They are ninth and they could get further down if they continue dropping points. Nchanga have a game in hand and they will hope for that encounter to move above most teams on top of them.
MUFULIRA WANDERERS
No need to start blaming people, GREEN BUFFALOES is at the moment a better team than Mufulira Wanderers and losing to GBFC is a wrong time to start evaluating all departments of the team, you may start dismantling things that are working perfectly. It was a 1-0 loss courtesy of a Jack Chirwa goal at Shinde. Urgently Mufulira Wanderers needs to work on the Technical Bench, games are coming thick and fast and before they know it the LEGENDARY would be fighting relegation.

MY STATISTICS FOR WEEK NINE
Number of Goals scored: 14
BEST TEAM OF WEEK SIX FOR ME
GREEN BUFFALOES
ZANACO will get my vote for the best team of Week ten with that serious come back from 1-0 down to 4-1 victors. It also showed that Numba had read the game very well by resting some players and bringing them on when things didn’t look like going for the team. ZANACO are serious title contenders.
MOST IMPROVED
LUSAKA TIGERS-even with a second draw on a bounce, you don’t go to Levy and make ZESCO United fail to score. That was massive for Lusaka Tigers and that will be a big statement for all teams travelling to Independence Stadium to play TIGERS. It showed again…. “TIGER TANAKA”
MOST DISAPOINTING TEAM
ZESCO UNITED should be at hand to get the most disappointing team of Week ten for me. It’s a serious problem that George Lwandamina needs to work on as they prepare for CAF Champions League battles. Zesco has now failed to win in the last four games and that is serious for the Defending Champions.
FIGHT RELEGATION
MUFULIRA BLACKPOOL will end the week on the bottom as the only team without a win and losing at Forest Rangers this will mean they are the early candidates of fighting relegation.
