Silver Strikers 2-1 Blue Eagles
The Area 30 side had won all their opening six matches of the league accumulating 18 points while Silver Strikers had only won 4 matches. Mathew Sibale and Paipi were the destroyers in chief while Phiri netted Eagles consolation goal.
Nyasa Big Bullets 2-0 Mzuni
Money bags and giants Nyasa Big Bullets moved to the fourth spot of the league after Bashir Maunde and Henry Kabichi goals helped them beat Mzuni 2-0 at the Kamuzu stadium in Blantyre. Mzuni keeper Rabson Chiyenda denied Macfallen Ngwira and Mohammed Sulubu a chance for a Half time lead. Mande Bashir finally broke the dreadlock after a rebound from a Dalitso Salesi.
The students from Mzuzu University found themselves 2-0 down when Kabichi doubled Bullets lead after a through ball from Mike Mkuite..
Mzuni lost by a similar margin the following day at the hands of Azam Tigers in a match Mzuni coach termed disastrous and marred by poor officiating. Bright Munthali scored in the 80th minute before Peter Katsonga made it two.
In other matches played over the weekend Mighty Be forward Wanderers lucksture performance continued after a frustrating goalless draw against newcomers Karonga United while Red Lions dismissed Dwangwa by a goal to nil. Wizards beat Maxi Bullets 2-0.
Red lions failed to pick another three points losing their second match 1-0 at MAFCO while at the Civo Stadium hosts Civo Service United beat EPAC 1-0
