Former AS Kigali striker Ernest Sugira has completed his move to DR Congo reigning champions AS Vita Club.
Sugira who is a Rwandan international inked a deal that will keep him with the “Black Dolphins” for eighteen months.
The big money move is worth USD 130,000.
Sugira’s dream of featuring for the Florent Ibenge’s men in the lucrative CAF Champions League will however not come true this season after CAF disqualified them at the group phase for fielding ineligible player.
Vita fielded former Stade Malien midfielder Idrissa Traore in the preliminary rounds of the tournament when he had not finished his four match ban, that was handed to him in the 2015 season.
Sugira scored eight league goals for Kigali in the on going Rwanda Premier League – he netted thrice for “Amavubi” during the CHAN tournament early year in Rwanda where they exited at the quarter final stage.
