Kenyan international Kevin Mugai Kimani and South Africa’s club Jomo Cosmos parted ways on mutual consent as from May 5,2016.

Kimani, an attacking midfielder joined the Jomo Sono owned and coached club in April this year as a free agent, after seeing through his previous contract with Sportpesa Premier League giants Tusker FC.

However, the twenty seven years old former Mathare United man never managed to earn his maiden competitive appearance for the “Ezenkosi” (King of Soccer) due paperwork delays among other factors.

Unfortunately the Johannesburg based team were relegated after finishing last in the 2015/16 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.

With the Sportpesa Premier League June mini transfer window open till July 2, Kimani could find himself back to the local league.

PSL is home to two other Kenyans; Victor Ali Abondo (Ajax Cape Town) and Brian Mandela (Maritzburg United).
