Bandari FC and AFC Leopards have at last struck a deal that will see “Ingwe” old boys Benard Mang’oli and Edwin Wafula return to the den.
“Mang’oli and Wafula have not signed yet but we have agreed with Bandari and anytime from now they will sign. It’s not a done deal until they sign, anything can still happen.” Leopards Coach Ivan Minnaert.
The duo ditched the 13-times champions at their lowest in January this year for greener pastures at the Coastal side. At that time Leopards were undergoing a difficult financial period while the Dockers who were fresh from winning Kenya Cup “Gotv Shield” were splashing cash, as they strengthened their squad for continental football.
Leopards have since secured a lucrative sponsorship deal with betting company “Sportpesa” and are a much stable club now.
A quarter way through their two year deals, Mang’oli and Wafula have been rumored to be forcing their way out, with Bandari Technical Director Edward Odundo being quoted five days ago saying the club would consider taking disciplinary action against the two if they breached their contracts.
However, the differences seemed to have been iron out and anytime from now as Ivan told Soka25east.com the two will reunite with their former employers.
IN other news, Leopards have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Ian Otieno from Posta Rangers. The addition will be a big boost for the Leopards as their first choice keeper Locas Indeche was reportedly going for a surgery on his shoulder which could take him out of action for a long period.
