Gor Mahia’s midfieder Khalid Aucho’s transfer to Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers has hit a brickwall after in what his agent Geoffrey Kavemba describes as unwillingness by Gor Mahia to issue a release letter for the player.
A touch speaking Kavemba is reading mischief as he alluded to the fact that his client was being denied an opportunity to further his career as he accused Gor Mahia officials of playing cat and mouse games avoiding the issue.
“I am disappointed Gor Mahia officials are not willing to dispense with the matter as they keep on avoiding me.Its a golden opportunity for the player to further his career he has given the team so much and it would have been nice to see Gor Mahia reciprocate by giving him a release letter”Kavemba said.
A Gor Mahia official who sort anonymity however rubbished the claims saying they had not been officially approached about the issue and have been reading the news in the media.
“Its unfortunate we are being labelled yet the matter had not been brought to our attention our job is not to deny players opportunities it can be resolved amicably as long as the rules governing players transfer are followed to the latter and proper transfer mechanism” the source said
The Ugandan international has been a cog in Gor’s midfield since joining the Kenyan Premier League champions in January 2015 from Tusker FC. According to various media outlets in Scotland the newly promoted Rangers are interested in signing the player.
Rangers’ fans took to Twitter to urge the club to sign the midfielder this June with the hash tag #SignKhalidAaucho trending in Scotland.
