Obrey Chirwa on Friday signed a two year contract to successfully complete a move from FC Platinum of Zimbabwe to Tanzania big wigs Yanga SC.
The deal is rumored to be worth USD 120,000.
The 22 years old Zambia U23 international and former Konkola Blades forward was a revelation in the Zimbabwe’s Castle Lager Premiership, netting five times in eight outings.
His name will be forwarded to CAF so he may play in the Confederations Cup group phase for the 24 times Tanzania champions. Yanga is in group “A” of the continent’s second tier cup alongside Mo Bejaia, TP Mazembe and Medeama.
They play the group opener against Mo Bejaia of Algeria away in Algeria on Sunday.
