Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Independent Disciplinary Appeals Committee has upheld the Kenyan Premier League Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee (IDCC) Ruling to dock Gor Mahia three points for crowd trouble.

The IDCC had earlier ruled that Gor be deducted three points as punishment for crowd trouble caused by their fans in their league match against Tusker F.C, played on April 16, 2016 at the Nyayo National Stadium.

In their appeal Gor Mahia raised 12 points against the IDCC ruling among them;

– Tusker being the home team, failed to provide enough security during the match.

– IDCC relied on non corroborated evidence from GMT Otieno to make the judgement.

– They were not given a fair hearing.

However the FKF Appeals Committee in dismissing the appeal made five points including;

– The appeal does not raise any issues for consideration by the Appeals Committee.

– IDCC directed itself appropriately in law and in facts.

– IDCC conducted fair and credible hearing.

Gor remains fourth on the table standings on 26 points, three off leaders Tusker FC.

The Committee is yet to rule on a similar case concerning AFC Leopards.
