Kenyan side AFC Leopards new striker, Malian Ismaila Diarra plays the last game at home this Sunday as his team Rayon Sports meet their old rivals Kiyovu Sports Club at Stade de Kigali, Nyamirambo.
Former Ivan Minnaert’s team are placed in second position with 57 points after being beaten by relegated AS Muhanga 1-0 on Thursday.
This match revenues will serve as a contribution to secure the renewal of Burundian midfielder Kwizera Pierrot’s contact which expires at the end of the season, after joining the team in the middle of last season.
Rayon Sports officials hope Pierrot’s contract extension will help them to have a good team for next CAF Confederation Cup after winning peace cup.
Second placed Rayon Sports and Sixth placed Kiyovu Sports are old rivals, as their first meeting was in 1968.
Tomorrow’s match will be the last at home for Ismaila Diarra who will join Kenyan side, AFC Leopards as the two remaining fixtures will see Rayon Sports visit Espoir FC at Rusizi on Wednesday and Musanze FC at Nyakinama next Sunday.
