Emanuel Manishimiwe on Wednesday penned a two-year contract extension valued around $8,000 with former Rwandan Premier League champions Rayon Sports Football Club.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by the club President Denis Gacinya and the Secretary General Oliver Gakwaya who confirmed the good news on twitter.

“Done deal now. It’s just the beginning.” Olivier captioned a photo tweet of the moment.

The full back was among top stars at the cash strapped Nyanza based side whose contracts expired early July.

Like his teammate Ismaila Diarra, the former SEC player was heavily linked with a move to AFC Leopards in the Kenyan Premier League, to reunite with his former boss Ivan Minnaert, however the deal fell through, and was registered among failed transfers in June by FKF.

Diarra on the other hand is expected in Nairobi, Kenya to link up with the Leopards after agreeing 18 months deal.

Another player expected to renew life at Rayon is Burundian import Pierrot Kwizera.
