APR will be officially crowned as the Azam Rwanda Premier League 2016 Champions today  after their game against AS Kigali  at Stade de Kigali in Kigali City.

APR  have already seized the trophy  after  ammassing 67 points with one game to go while their biggest arch rivals Rayon Sports  trailing by 10 points having lost an important game aganist relegated side AS Muhaga two weeks ago by a solitary goal.

At the bottom of the table relagation battle is still on.With AS Muhanga already out ,Musanze FC which sits in 14th position with 26 points will be hosting Rayon Sport and they need nothing but a win to remain the league.Anything short of a win  will see Rwamagana City FC which sits at position 15th postion with 25 points safe as Marines seems not to be a hard nut to crack for Rwamagana City as three points will mark their stay in top flight football.

This will be a record 16th Rwanda Premier League title  and the soldiers will represent Rwanda in the next year Caf Champions League while the traditional rivals Rayon Sports will compete in tge Caf Confederations cup.
