The Goverment of Ghana through the Ministry of Youth and Sports has denied reports that it has secured sponsorship for the Ghana Premier League.

Rumours were rife for the past week with multiple reports suggesting that the Minister of Sports Hon. Nii Lante has secured mega deal with a giant Oil Company for the Ghana Premier League that has been without a title sponsor for almost a year.

Sports Ministry in a statement released on saturday refuted such reports but insisted it is in talks to secure a deal for the league.

Other reliable reports indicate that Ghana Football Association officials are in talks with a popular sports betting company,SafariBet who are set to become league sponsors for the for the next season.
