The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday named caretaker Coach Yusuf Salisu as the Chief Coach of the Super Eagles to work with Paul le Guen as the new technical advisor.
The long awaited appointments are subject to contract terms agreement with the federation.
Frenchman Le Guen, 52, has managed Lyon, Paris St-Germain and Rangers and led Cameroon to the 2010 World Cup.
Coach Imama Amapakabo and goalkeeping trainer Alloy Agu will also work with the duo.
Salisu has been in-charge since the last permanent manager Sunday Oliseh quit in a huff in February after a low key show at CHAN Rwanda.
He oversaw two warm-up victories versus Mali and Luxembourg in May.
Nigeria crushed out of the road to AFCON 2017 but are still in contention for a slot in the Russia 2018 World Cup. They are in group “B” of Africa qualifiers alongside top ranked Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia.
