By Joel Mutimbo,
Just hours after announcing on his facebook that he had given up his fight and quest to see him resume as the defacto ELected Vice Chairman of FKF, Sammy Shollei sprung a suprise sending a letter through his advocate Ekuru Aukot and Company Advocates to FKF seeking to stop the upcoming SGM that was scheduled to endorse another Vice Chairman to permanetly remove Sholei who was indefinately suspended.
The letter from Aukot was strong in it terms :
“Our clients enjoy unfettered rights and discretion to exercise their right to legal redress in the courts of law. Take notice therefore that our instructions are to demand from you, which we hereby do, the immediate and unconditional suspension of the Special General Meeting and immediate reinstatement of our clients in their rightful positions in the Football Kenya Federation” Lawyer Aukot letter to FKF read in part.
“‘Take further notice that you have 24 hours to respond and any ill-advised or misconceived action that may be instituted by yourself to the detriment of our client shall leave our clients with no option but to institute legal proceedings against you at your own cost and peril, the letter further read”it further read.
Shollei has for the past one year waged war on his suspension which he termed as unconstitutional and brought about through malice. It will be interesting to see how FKF react in the turn of events in what shapes to be a bruising battle in the law courts what FIFA does not accept in its statutes.
Sam Shollei was validly elected in 2011 October as the Vice Chairman shortly after a fall out with the President Sam Nyamweya a plan was quickly hatched to close all federation doors to him with a raft of suspensions and thereafter expulsion.
