Striker Frank Kalanda has joined Azam Uganda Premier League side Soana FC on a two year contract.

The former Express FC forward joined as a free agent after being released by Uganda Revenue Authority FC at the end of last season.

Kalanda will have to beat off competition from strikers Musa Esenu and veteran Hamis Kitagenda who is also the team captain.

The well build striker who has had professional stints previously in South Africa with Free State Stars and also in Vietnam came on map in 2013 when he scored a double against Tanzania at Namboole stadium in the CHAN qualifiers and has since gone full cycle in his career.
