Kampala City Council Authority Football Club midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba is itching to return to the club’s training as he recuperates from an ankle injury.
Mutyaba, who bagged the players’ player of the year award at the glittering KCCA awards recently, says he wants to join up the team as soon as he can to prepare for the season start.
“The doctors say I can start training again in one week’s time and I feel good. I know there many players vying for my number and I must work hard,” Mutyaba said.
The Azam Uganda Premier League Best Midfielder of the Year nominee will have to to fight for his attacking midfield slot with returning Tom Masiko and Paul Mucurezi also ready to pounce in the healthy competition for berths at the club.
Meanwhile, the defending champions’ prepreparations for next season are smoothly getting on at Lugogo with new members quickly acclimatizing ahead of the August 14 Super Cup date with Vipers at Nakivubo.
KCCA will represent the country in the CAF Champions League next season.
