Ethiopia and St.George natural left back Abebaw Butako after years of service to both his country and St.George is set to join Sudan outfit Al Hilal Omdurman in a three year deal Soka25east.com can confirm.
The deal which has been in the pipeline for months now is set to be concluded in Dudai where Abebaw together with his agent Thamar Debebe who is coincidentaly the only female registered football agent not only in Ethiopia but in East Africa.
Al Hilal Omdurman have been following the progress of Abebaw for sometime now and he impressed their scouting department which decided to grab him with other suitors salivating.
Abebaw will travel to Dubai on Saturday 20th September for the signing process that has been reserved for Dubai in what is thought to be a lucrative deal worth over $70,000 involved plus a house and a car and year air ticket to visit family back home.
Abebaw Butako has played an integral part for Ethiopia in their rise over the past years.He was one of the key players as Ethiopia qualified for Afcon 2013,CHAN 2014 and played a key role in the World Cup 2014 qualifers.
The speedy,intelligent and very confident Abebaw will be the third Ethiopian in one year to sign for Sudanese clubs.Addis Hintsa still plays in Sudan while Shemeles Bekele who is now at Egyptian side Petrojet had a short stint at El Mereikh.
