Forest Rangers Vs NAPSA Stars
Levy Mwanawasa Stadium
15:00hrs
Live on Supersport
This a fixture that Forest Rangers cannot afford lose. It would be the worst run for Forest Rangers in the 2016 season as it will be loss number five in a roll. For NAPSA they will be avoiding to join Forest Rangers in losing four on a bounce. They have lost three, drawn one and won one in the last five. Forest Rangers don’t look comfortable at Levy Mwanawasa stadium and if they were playing their games at their usual Dola Hill, Forest wouldn’t be where they are at the moment.
NAPSA desperately hoping to get off the relegation zone but unfortunately even a win is not enough to the get pensioners off the relegation zone but it would be a big boost towards survival if they are to achieve a victory away at Forest Rangers.
Forest won away in the first round and in the last seven, Forest Rangers have three wins while NAPSA has two. The other two are draws. I don’t think NAPSA can we win this encounter.
MY VERDICT: Forest Rangers 2-1 NAPSA

Saturday 6th August
Lusaka Tigers Vs Green Buffaloes
Independence Stadium
15:00hrs
I said in December that Lusaka Tigers was going to be one of the clubs to go back to the zones after this season and when they were very strong and collected crucial points in the first round, the believe seemed like getting bigger among the followers of the Matero outfit but with current status I think they now agree with what I stated that time.
They are deep into the relegation zone and even with a win they would still remain in that zone. They host Green Buffaloes at home which is also the home of the team they are hosting. GBFC coming from a loss to Kabwe Warriors would be looking at this fixture to be a stepping stone. Green Buffaloes will win this one ad Lusaka Tigers is looking out of thoughts at the moment while GBFC is like organizing a starting lining up that would get them back to winning ways. It won’t be an easy game though and these teams drew in the first round.
MY VERDICT: Lusaka Tigers 0-2 Green Buffaloes

Power Dynamos Vs Zanaco
Athur Davies Stadium
15:00hrs
Live on Supersport
Big game of the weekend for me and it’s good that the game is on Supersport for as many people as possible to watch it live. Power Dynamos will face the form team of the season so far, collecting 18 points from the last 6 games is a big plus for ZANACO. Power Dynamos is fourth in the form team table collecting 13 points from the last six games. ZANACO only has one loss the whole season and that came away to Forest Rangers.
Power Dynamos still have a better head to head record against ZANACO. In the last 21 games between these sides , Power has 8 wins, ZANACO has 7 wins while 6 are draws. A win for ZANACO and the record will be equal.
It’s a big game and Dan Kabwe would enjoy to beat the league leaders but we know how strong ZANACO is this season in the league. They have the best defence and the deadliest striking partnership where goals come from any part of the field. They have scored 42 goals and only allowed 6 goals. That’s prolific and Power Dynamos should be weary of that. Take note that ZANACO has scored 18 goals away and the 6 that the conceded are all in the away games. I don’t know if that is enough motivation for Power Dynamos.
Am not yet convinced with Power Dynamos and hence think ZANACO will drop points but won’t lose the game.
MY VERDICT: Power Dynamos 1-1 ZANACO

Lumwana Radiants Vs Nkwazi
Lumwana Grounds
15:00hrs
Lumwana start their home games in a roll against Nkwazi and thereafter Green Eagles will follow. Mentioning this fixture will remind Lumwana of the 4-0 bashing they received at the hands of Nkwazi in the first round on the game that Lumwana arranged with Nkwazi to reduce travelling to and from Lumwana that time around.
It will be a game were revenge will be in the minds of Lumwana but Nkwazi is not an easy team to play against and for now I consider them a team that has concentration the whole 90 minutes. You may call it lucky but the concentration levels of Nkwazi has made them able to get two points from losing positions in the last games against Nakambala away and Mufulira Wanderers at home.
This will be one of the interesting games of this weekend. It’s not easy to play at Lumwana and I have been there before and the atmosphere is intimidative to away teams. Nkwazi will be a strong team but they will fall to Lumwana.
MY VERDICT: Lumwana 1-0 Nkwazi

Kabwe Warriors Vs Nkana
Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium
15:00hrs
Kabwe Warriors are on a very good run, they have just lost one game in the last five and they are the second best form team at the moment second to ZANACO. Collecting 15 points in the last six is something Kabwe Warriors fans will be excited. Nkana has only collected 10 points in the last six and this one should be a must win for both teams. Nkana won the game in the first round courtesy of Jacob Ngulube goal. This one will be a good game, Kabwe Warriors wouldn’t want the Wusakile team to celebrate a double over them this season while Nkana are weary of the chasing pack behind them.
Kabwe Warriors maybe in good form but if there is a team that they don’t know how to beat is Nkana. A look at the last 11 games will only show one win for Kabwe Warriors against Nkana while Nkana has 7 wins in those 11 games with 3 draws.
But no doubt Kabwe looks better off than Nkana at the moment and the favourite winner in this game is the Kabwe outfit but am going for a draw in this encounter.
MY VERDICT: Kabwe Warriors 2-2 Nkana

Green Eagles Vs Nakambala Leopards
Independence Stadium
15:00hrs
The Southern Province derby is on this weekend in Choma with Green Eagles hoping to collect maximum points to keep them away from the relegation zone. There is a serious sense of confidence in the Green Eagles camp and they will be thinking this is another opportunity of grabbing some three points. Head to Head, Nakambala is better off, they have played nine times in the Super League with Nakambala Leopards winning five, Green Eagles winning two and we have two draws.
Green Eagles are boosted by Satchmo Chakawa and after his return from injury Green Eagles looks a different team altogether but seriously the team needs to improve going forward. They are called ONE GOAL specialists as they only know how to score a goal this season and this may disadvantage Green Eagles with goal difference at the end of the season.
Green Eagles has never scored more than a goal in any game this season and they have only scored 11 goals and allowed 17. They are just better than the three teams in the relegation.
Am thinking we shall have another 1-0 victory for a home team and also note that all the games in the Super League that these teams have played if there is a winner has only ended 1-0.
MY VERDICT: Green Eagles 1-0 Nakambala Leopards

Mufulira Blackpool Vs Mufulira Wanderers
Kachofa Stadium
15:00hrs
I would have said Mufulira would be at standstill with this game if Mufulira Blackpool had serious intentions of surviving. But the team is a disappointment and they deserve to get back to the drawing board. 20 games played, no win, 6 draws and 14 losses. Scored only 6 goals and allowed 37 goals.
They host their neighbors who are confusing everyone with their line ups because you just don’t know who starts the game in each encounter and they should know that Mufulira Blackpool would choose to lose to any team but not Mufulira Wanderers, There are bragging rights of Mufulira town here.
Blackpool is going down the zones and Mufulira Wanderers would be hoping to stay clear of the relegation zone. Mighty fans know that this one is not an easy game but I think Mighty will have better psychological strength to get three points in this fixture and Blackpool have forgotten how to score in a football game.
MY VERDICT: Mufulira Blackpool 0-2 Mufulira Wanderers

Sunday 7th August
Nchanga Rangers Vs Lusaka Dynamos
Nchanga Rangers Stadium
15:00hrs
Live on Supersport
It was interesting talking to some Lusaka Dynamos players after their victory against Lusaka Tigers last weekend. They are confident that their time to start picking points is now here and they are looking forward to the Nchanga Rangers game.
Nchanga Rangers beat Lusaka Dynamos 2-1 away in Lusaka in the fourth week this season and they would want to do a double. Nchanga would be very confident as Lusaka Dynamos in the last 11 games against Nchanga rangers have only won twice, drawn 5 and lost four.
This will be another loss for Lusaka Dynamos
MY VERDICT: Nchanga Rangers 2-0 Lusaka Dynamos
