News reaching Soka25east.com indicates that Uganda Cranes international Joseph Ochaya has passed trials at Premier Soccer League side Bidvest Wits – although an official statement from the club has not yet been released.
The lanky talented left full back departed Kampala a week ago for South Africa after being invited for trials and he is believed to have impressed.
Ochaya formerly of Asante Kotoko of Ghana put up a great performance for KCCA FC last season, netting seven goals as well as a thunderous display for Uganda Cranes which saw him being nominated for the AUPL big award of most valuable player with a brand new Subaru Forester awaiting for the winner.
When made official, he will join compatriots Denis Masinde Onyango (Mamelodi Sundowns) Geoffrey Massa (Baroka Fc) Boban Zirintusa (Polokwane city) and Yasser Mugerwa (Orlando Pirates) amongst Ugandans plying their trade in South Africa.
We shall keep you posted as the story unfolds.
