A few changes have been announced to the round 23 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) program scheduled for Saturday and Wednesday, and these will affect at least four of the upcoming matches.

The Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos has been closed for minor renovations and thus the two teams that use the facility for home matches – Sofapaka and Tusker have been handed new venues for their weekend matches.

Tusker’s match against Kakamega Homeboyz, will be played at the Afraha Stadium on Sunday, 21 August, with the game shifting from 2pm to 1pm while Sofapaka’s game against Posta Rangers switches from Machakos to Ruaraka Stadium and will be played on Sunday instead of the original Saturday listing.

The game’s kick-off time also changes from 4.15pm to 3pm, Kenyan time.

The clash between Tusker and Kakamega Homeboyz which has been moved to Nakuru means that the Afraha Stadium will host a double-header, as Leopards will host City Stars in Nakuru. The Leopards clash will thus start at 3pm as the second of the two encounters.

In addition, the kick-off time for the Thika United versus Bandari FC clash on Wednesday, 24 August has shifted from 3pm to 4pm at the request of the hosts, Thika United, in an effort to guarantee adequate security for the clash.
